Voice Chat in V1.4

As of the V1.4 release (March 11th), you can now communicate with others via voice chat.

Voice chat is disabled by default. Players who wish to use it must enable it in the Social Screen. Once enabled, you’ll be able to chat with other players who have also opted in.

Voice Chat Guidelines

The same rules apply to voice chat as they do to text chat:

  • Use chat for strategy and friendly banter. If you’re not in the mood to be respectful, don’t say anything.
  • If someone is toxic, mute and report them. Responding with toxicity only escalates the situation and could result in both players being sanctioned.
  • Be supportive. Compliment your teammates when they make great plays—positivity goes a long way.
  • You can mute individual players or your entire team if you prefer.

You can customize your voice chat experience under Settings → Audio → Voice.

 

Reporting & Communication Bans

  • If you witness toxicity in voice chat, please report it using the in-game reporting system, just as you would for any other in-game behavior.
  • Text chat bans now extend to voice chat. A player banned for toxicity in text chat will also be restricted from using voice chat, and vice versa.
  • Players can appeal a communication ban, but penalties are reputation-based:
    • A first-time offense will result in a shorter penalty than a repeated pattern of negative behavior.
    • Our system covers 18 languages—toxicity in any language is not permitted.
  • Omeda will not tolerate derogatory language, threats, or verbal abuse in Predecessor. We stand by our commitment to keeping the game an enjoyable space for all players.
  • Toxicity in response to toxicity is still toxicity. Report, mute, and let us handle it.

The final decision on bans rests with Omeda Staff and is made at their discretion.
